Live, Love, Ride.

Aspen, Colorado

Call it my mid-life crisis, but deciding to swing my leg over an 800 pound steel horse and discover North America on two wheels would leave me forever changed. I had rode a Kawasaki 550 for one summer in my mid 20’s but life got busy, I never finalized my motorcycle licence, and by the next summer I was traveling the world for business. Fast forward 26 years and it was time, time for me to live the dream I had held from childhood; to see and experience North America, it’s back roads, it’s remote places, it’s profound beauty, and it’s people. My adventures (so far) have spanned 7 years, 2 different motorcycles and have include characters so fascinating that I found myself, almost daily, saying, “Hollywood couldn’t write this”.

I travel with my tent and have had the privilege to sleep under the stars in all lower 48 US States and 7 Canadian Provinces. Along the way I learned how to survive riding in 120 degree heat in the dessert, live through tornados and find joy in the moment regardless of how challenging.

As I recount the highlights of my many adventures across this beautiful continent, I will share my best advice about such things as: the must have gear, important riding skills and, of course, the top motorcycle roads in North America.

If you like what you read here I hope you will give me your feedback, share your motorcycle stories, and tell me about some more great roads to ride!
